Welcome
Vineyard Christian Fellowship of the Peninsula is a part of The Vineyard, an
international community of Christian churches that are all about spreading
the great story of Jesus Christ with words and deeds. The Vineyard in Palo
Alto meets weekly on Sunday mornings to gather as a community, to worship
God, and to be encouraged and trained up to love and serve our world. Sermons are available online, and if you'd like to
see what's happening in the church, you can view the church
calendar and weekly events listing. You are welcome!

Continuing With One Service in the Fall
When we started the one-service format for the summer, we expected to go back to two services this Fall. As we have talked among the staff, listened to many of you and prayed about what to do this Fall, we decided not to go back to two services but stay with one service. It has been such a positive experience for us all to be in one place at the same time, that we want to continue that until God tells us we should do something different. We will be talking about this from up front in the weeks ahead, but we thought we would begin getting the word out now. If you have any more thoughts or questions about why we are doing this, please feel free to contact Liz Milner at liz@vcfp.org.
Hot Meals - September 6 & 15
Please join us, as we partner with Urban Ministries to cook & serve food to the homeless and poor in our neighborhood. We usually start preparing food at 3pm and serve at 5pm. After that is clean up and we are usually done before 7pm. Come for all or some of the time. On Monday, September 6, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm we will meet at First United Methodist Church (625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto) and on Wednesday, September 15, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm we will meet at First Presbyterian Church (1140 Cowper Street, Palo Alto). If you have questions, contact the church office. We hope you can join us!

Our jail
ministry is an opportunity to extend God's love to inmates in Santa
Clara county. Read the testimony
of one woman's experience ministering in the jail: "The ones that
come to the service are eager to "feel" our Lord touching them.
It is a blessing to me to be able to share this desire with them - that's
all I did. I didn't preach or cajole or convince them of anything - just
re-affirmed that Jesus is with them, that God has not abandoned them, that
He loves them. How much easier could it be? ..."
